Katmai Lodge

History

Located on a small bluff overlooking the Alagnak River, Katmai Lodge has over five million salmon passing right in front of the lodge each year. The enormous runs of salmon help create some of the finest Rainbow trout and Arctic Grayling fishing in the state of Alaska, if not the world. We stand out from other fine lodges in Alaska in the fact that you will not have to fly here or there to experience different runs of salmon or find trophy Rainbow trout. However, if you seek variety in fishing or scenery, our private float plane can fly you out to remote tributaries to sight fish trophy trout and char, or into Katmai National Park for bear viewing at world famous Brooks Falls.

We can accommodate large or small groups with various housing options. We welcome families and can host View more... seminars or special events for your business or organizations. Ask us how we can customize a trip for you!

THE MAIN LODGE
After an exciting day of fishing, return to the main lodge to enjoy friends, drinks and a photo slideshow of everyone’s Katmai Lodge adventure from earlier that day.

In the main lodge, you will find a gift and clothing shop, fly tying area, dart board, board and card games & shelves of books for your entertainment. Wifi is also available.

We have a fully stocked cooler of complimentary beverages. Included are a wide variety of soft drinks and waters, American and Import beers, as well as Alaskan brewed ales. Complimentary house wine is offered along with appetizers & snacks during happy hour from 5-7pm each evening. An open “honor bar” with assorted liquors and mixers is also available.
