NOLA part deaux

Our annual trip to New Orleans and fishing for redfish in the marshes of Louisiana. An arctic blast made for some tough fishing at the beginning but it got much better as the week progressed.

Fly dreamer Perry Lisser enjoying a great meal at Mothers in New Orleans. This is the famous Po-boy sandwich, stuffed with Cajun spiced fried shrimp, shredded cabbage, a pickle and sauce. It is good!

Be careful removing the hook, they can do some damage as you can see. Looks worse than it was I just kept fishing band aide later at the dock.

Yea baby, they hit a fly like a freight train at times.

Cold? Who cares when the fishing is so good.

A fat belly pushed the scale to 30lbs on a fish that would be like 27lbs.

First day of the Arctic blast we found only small fish active the rest were hiding in deep holes and channels.

Our guide is nuts but the kind of crazy we've gotten use to. Oh, he can catch fish too.

They were all over the place! Redfish coming to hooked fish to see what was going on, a cast and another fish on!
