Provo river utah. Brown trout. There are still big fish around. I just heard some bad news. Our friend mark from troutbumming@gmail.com has quit fly dreamers. It is horrible when someone who has never posted anything even close to being offensive. Has his posts complained about and taken down. Sorry people but it se Nothing better then being able to put a smile on a face like this. Days like this just make my job the best in the world. The spawn is on its about time. This has to be the worst guide on the planet. Ditched his clients by about a 150 yards, leaving them to cross the swift river alone. Then by the time they catch him he's catching fish. I felt so bad for them I hope he didn't get a tip for the day. Early morning sun beams. Beam me up scotty, transport me to the fish. Here comes the spawn. Tiny little worlds. Took my 4 year old little girl out a coupledays ago. She probably caught 5 of these guys in an hour. On flies she tied herself. I couldn't be more proud. Then her stupid dad went and dropped my phone in the river, and lost all the pics but this one. Way t Sgwiggly worm tied buy my four year old little girl. Fish on. One after another until I lost it. A few of these over the weekend at one of my favorite close by rivers. Behind my house in provo. A couple more days of this and our little sea wall is going to be no more. Getting kinda scary. Still a few clear rivers left. Hope this one doesn't get blown out to. Strawberry river utah Provo river utah. Along with the rest of the rivers near there. Normal flows are around 4 to 600 cfs. Starting tomorrow Saturday the 13th the spillways will be open bringing flows up to 1800 cfs. Be careful out there. Using a San Juan my 4 year old girl tied with pink dubbing and bright green thread. I will never forget this fish That's my boy Lost in time This marker is just sticking up in the middle of the river. Loved fishing with this old guy. His big fat stoggies reminded me of growing up fishing with my grumpy ass grandpa. Lol wouldn't trade those memories for the world. Thanks to this guy for bringing them back.
