Yesterday morning I woke up bright and early. To my 4 year old girl already dressed ready to go, and Mad at me cuz supposedly I did something with her tackle box. No remember, you slept wit it I say. So she grabs her gear and heads for the river that flows through the back yard. Making sure I know she want no help from me. When we get there she picks out an old ugly squid jig, which I tell her, you know your not going to catch anything on that right. Which she simply replies, DADDY!!!! I DON'T NEED YOUR HELP!!!! with a smile lol not. So she takes this ugly thing and hooks it straight to her swivel. First cast goes over the tree. YES!!! I think selfishly now she needs daddy's help, I'm not obsolete yet! Next couple casts she's reeling really slow telling me see dad you have to bounce it off the bottom or the won't take it. Well I say your going to get a snag see. NO!! I'M NOT DADDY I GOT A FISH!!! SHE YELLS!!! ahhh I'm freaking out I just put my phone away. Lol. I know it's not on the fly but I'll make up for it with some more fly pics later. Oh how proud I am.
