The week started in true Seychelles style with a slight North-Easter blowing and great visibility. The bonefishing was “off the charts” with 129 Bonefish landed during the first day. There were a few big fish around with Grant Wiswell landing his personal best Bonefish of 66cm and estimated at around 9 lbs.  The incredible Bonefish numbers continued throughout the week with Phillip Bellamy managing to catch more than 40 Bonefish in one session while his son exceeded the 30 fish mark.  Calm flat weather brought the GT’s onto the flats in good numbers with Michael Cartland catching massive 119 cm fish caught on the first day with a cast only a rod length from the boat. A pile of GT’s were landed through out the week with John Graham landing a fin perfect 110cm and Rob Thomas a 99cm fish. The session of the week had to be when Phil and Joe Bellamy landed  3 GT’s in a day measuring 81 cm, 90cm, 110cm respectively. The bluewater fishing was on fire at times with Joern and Maria incredibly landing 3 Sailfish is a session. Rob Thomas and Phil Bellamy also joined the Sailfish bell ringers when they both landed their first Sailfish on fly. There were 2 Triggers landed during the week, 1 by Maria and the other by Pelham Aldrich Blake.  The Millkfish were around in good numbers allowing for Geoff Haslam to achieve an amazing  “Grand Slam” consisting of a Milkfish, GT and a pile of Bonefish. The week couldn’t really end any better when Michael Cartland topped his week off with a spectacular Indo-Pacific Permit on the last day of the trip. A truly spectacular weeks fishing!
