Fd: What is the London Fly Fishing Fair all about?
Fergus: The London Fly Fishing Fair is aimed at bringing together different aspects of the fly fishing world to one central place in London. The idea of the fair is to make fly fishing more accessible to the public and encourage beginners and new people to get involved. From beginner to expert, this fair has been designed to allow the dedicated fly fisher to see new products on the market, book trips, and get tips from the pros. This is a place for the whole family to enjoy.
Fd: Why London?
Fergus: The idea of creating the show in London is to make the fair a lot more accessible for people living in this city. As it is so central, the fair is very easy to get to, making it easier for people to get involved that may not have the opportunity otherwise. Another great thing about the fair is that it is indoors and therefore the weather is not an issue.
Fd: Who will be there?
Fergus: We have a number of brands from rod, reel and line manufactures. There will be a lot of lifestyle and clothing. And there will be many names in the industry there to see as well.
Fd: Will there be casting demonstrations and activities of any kind?
Fergus: There will be casting demos and fly-tying demos too. As well as some talks on a variety of locations and species across the world. We will also be holding the fly fishing film tour F3T for people to buy tickets for.
Fd: Will it be possible to buy equipment and talk to travel companies at the fair?
Fergus: At the fair you have the opportunity to buy equipment and to do it directly from the brands and travel companies, as well as having the chance of discussing with them what is best about their product or service.
