Sundowner Adventures Lodge offers an affordable river experience, close to the confluence of the Deka and mighty Zambezi River. The lodge overlooks one of the most beautiful bends of this magnificent river. Situated 140 km from the famous Victoria Falls, 95km from Mlibizi and 150 km from Hwange National Park. It offers convenient access to the Western Zimbabwe Tourism highlights and is the shortest route from Victoria Falls/Kasane to the Kariba Ferry (Western side of Lake Kariba)

There are several beautiful walks in the area, Guests can be accompanied by one of our experienced guides. The surrounding bush around the lodge ranges from Riverine forest to Mopani woodlands, thus offering a diversity of birdlife and landscape.
Charter flights can access the lodge via Deka airstrip which is 4 km from the lodge
Game drive viewing can be arranged at the Hwange National Park.

The Lodge is situated a stone’s throw away from the river, giving anglers easy access to famous tiger fishing areas (such as TIGER MILE) that have stood the test of time. Fishing is explosive in this region with a variety of freshwater sport fish to keep anglers on the edge of their seats. Catch varieties like the explosive Tiger Fish, Nkupe, Chessa, Bream, and Vundu using an artificial lure, bait or fly fishing. We specialize in a technique using dry flies on the surface for Tigerfish.
Boats are available with experienced guides who will show you where to fish and teach you the techniques – should you wish.
Guests have accommodated in two spacious natural stone Lodges and cottage with sweeping views of the Zambezi River as well as three twin units with private verandahs overlooking a wooded riverine forest. All accommodation has private bathrooms with shower, toilet, and basin.
