Well, the time has already arrived but the anglers haven't quite yet. Steelhead season begins much earlier on the Olympic Peninsula that what most of the world recognizes. As we move into January, look for more anglers to begin to arrive but so will the fish. As long as water levels can be at an area where water is fishable, it is a good time to be out here on the water. Right now, as we speak, water levels are great and fish are in several of the local rivers including the Sol Duc and Hoh.
