162 fish were landed this week at Estancia Maria Behety Lodge. Of those, 36 fish were over 15 pounds, 6 of these were over 20 pounds. The average weight of sea-trout was 9.3 pounds.
Paul Pitchard landed a 24 pounder male in Cormorant pool.
The fishing was pretty similar to last week. By the end of last week the river was dropping and clearing up a little, but on Sunday we had a heavy rain, which made the river rise and get dirty again.
The river was high and dirty the whole week. The water temperature decreased considerably. Air temperature was between 30° F and 61° F. Water temperature was between 37° F and 45° F.
Rods, lines and tips: 6 to 9 weight spey rods. Skagit lines with T-11, T-14 and T-17 in different lengths. Flies: We fished mostly with big flies. Big streamers: Wooly buggers, Yuk Bugs, big leeches and Intruders. Big tube flies like Monkeys, Sunray Shadows, Colie Dogs.
