This was shot one day 60 miles off Manhattan. The boat Manhattan Fly is owned and operated by Captain Chris Hessert, along with his mate Chris Clackner. We left Jersey City at 4am on a glassy Hudson River. After a couple hour boat ride on an also surprisingly smooth Atlantic ocean we trolled for tuna in the "Canyons" area. We were successful in hooking some nice Atlantic Bluefin tuna. We went 6 for 6 (five released one 35" kept) all on spreaders, trolled a fly on a 14 wt fly rod all day but no hits.
Cameras Used: Canon 5D m2, GoPro Hero with eyeofmine Underwater housing, and Sony-SR12(mounted to Manhattan Fly's center console using a joby gorilla pod) Time-lapse at the beginning was shot winter 2011 with Canon 5Dm2 on the gorilla pod from Hoboken looking across the hudson river.
