Cody started his fishing journey at age 3 with his grandfather holding on to his waders, in the Colorado
Streams, with a rod and some flies. He was fishing the Big Thompson by age 6 and has been in the rivers, stalking the lake shores, or floating in a belly boat, ever since.
Cody was sponsored by the Boulder Fly casters TU Chapter as a youth camper at the TU Youth Conservation & Fly Fishing Camp and also served as a youth counselor in 2010.
Cody has been guiding for Front Range Anglers in Boulder, Colorado since 2010. He is a past member of the US Youth Fly Fishing Team (2009-2012).
Some of Cody’s accomplishments are a 7th place finish the 2009 US Men’s National Fly Fishing Competition, a 2nd place individual finish in the US Youth National Championships in the summer of 2012 View more... in State College, PA, as well as winning the America’s Cup loch day held in 2012.Perhaps his biggest accomplishment is the silver medal him and his US team earned at the 2012 World Championships. Cody finished in 6th individually.
Cody attributes his success in fly fishing to his family (especially his Grandpa), his mentor and friend Rob Kolanda (member of USA Men’s Team), and to all of the instructors and coaches in the clinics and competitions.
