We set out for Omak lake in North Central Washington, but first, we had to make a stop off at the Yakima River. Lower on the river runoff and rains colored the river, but the snow and the rains in the upper stretches pushed us east. Choosing overcast and murky high waters over snow and rain, we launched our pontoons and floated the farmlands section and searched for wild trout.
