It is usually tied with deer hair in color combinations such as white and chartreuse, pink, pale blue, dark blue, beige, brown and others, blended with some other materials like Crystal Flash or Flashabou.It can also be used for fishing other species, like trout and salmon, in deep waters by tying it with lead eyes or bead chains. It resembles the classic Blonde streamer pattern but with an inverted hook to prevent getting stuck in the bottom.When used in saltwater, it should be tied with a stainless hook (TMC 800S, TMC 811S, Mustad 34007). Still, these should be washed and dried after use and before going back to the box.When used for trout, one should try the classic white one, but also try darker colors like olive, black and brown. Also, combinations with orange or red are really good.

Paso 1
Tie the eyes a bit far off the hook eye and apply super glue so that the eyes don’t roll over.
Paso 2
Tie a strap of bucktail over the hook shank. Then shape the body evenly with the thread. Coating the body is a good way to prevent it from tearing.
Paso 3
Turn the hook upside down and tie off some Crystal Flash, Flashabou (or similar material). This should be the same length as the tail.
Paso 4
Over the flash material, tie another strap of bucktail hair. This should also be the same length as the tail. Even out the head, whip finish and cement.
