That has been at the 1st place of the most memorable day of this fishing season.
Actually we have different fishing chance, dry fly and nymphs fishing during all the day, because on the low-middle dolomites mountains snow is already melted but warm-hot temperature creates a perfect mixture to allow the snow to melt from the top of those, many streams are working well but a few other are affected by that event.
The stream was perfect, good level and color (you could think that the water color was bad to flyfish watching the pics but is absolutely really good...That particular color was good and it's a common color of that stretch caused by the grass and rocks on the bottom).

All Fishing sections is maneged by Catch&Release and fly only Rule.
I chose that stretch looking to catch some graylings which usually running up from Piave to live in that smaller stream.
Large hatches in the morning different insects such as small ephemeras, a few mayfly and another tons of caddis.. I spent the first part of the morning chasing for the wild brownies and graylings nymph's fishing as close as to the bottom then only later in the morning i saw the first awesome rises. Till that moment, fishes ate large number of nymphs and pupas
During that, i often changed my approaches depending of the spot, the water, the current and what personally thought to be at its best and to be more effective as possible: strike indicator and high sticking nymphing were only a couple of good method for that day...i decided to moving upper the stretch looking for a few rises...the slower current water, no deep pool but long calm water created the perfect conditions to see the trout's mouths coming up on the surface to eat insects.
That was pretty awesome..
I want to remeber that it has been a special day for sure but anyway, that stretch, often offers that kind of fishing chances; all fishes are selective and 100% wild so it isn't an easy fishing where just casting and catching fishes but you need to have the right flies, know the place and know where moving up to see a few rises if you are looking for a dry fly session or to another place for nymph fishing...
Right now water, color, level and temperature starts keeping stationary so you can have an awesome day on the water till first june where temperature starts to increase and fishing for all the day become to be difficult (only early morning and late in the evening).
