☆LOCKDOWN FISHING☆
Probably you already know that due to strict lockdown, I'm only allowed to fish in the municipality I live in. That's why I'm searching for fishing opportunities near my home.
The previous week I found this gem, Velika Božna, a gin-clear stream full of beautiful wild brown trout. Encouraged by the experience and knowing there is another similar stream on the other side of the valley. It didn't take me long to have another go. This time, fishing wasn't as good as last time, but it was good enough, and I was once again pleasantly surprised by the quality of fish.
Mala voda is by characteristics slightly different stream to Velika Božna, which is a somewhat bigger stream, running down fast in the narrow valley, forming deeper pools and some sweet pocket water al Ver más...☆LOCKDOWN FISHING☆

Mala voda is by characteristics slightly different stream to Velika Božna, which is a somewhat bigger stream, running down fast in the narrow valley, forming deeper pools and some sweet pocket water all the way. Mala voda, on the other hand, is slowly meandering down the open valley from pool to pool, where once again, I caught numerous brown trout throughout the day, mostly on a size 14 dry fly. I was surprised seeing some nice grayling, but I left them untouched as they are still in spawning time.
Once again, I had a lovely unexpected fishing day close to my home, and the whole experience was even better, as I had my family tagging along for a short period.
I'm already planning a new adventure. I'm taking my son, who is turning seven at the end of this week, to learn fly fishing on a stream, which I'm watching right now out of my balcony writing this post. It's predominantly cyprinid water, but I'm curious what surprise is awaiting us??? :)
