Unica River

Another superb fly-fishing day on the river Unica. Once again it proved that Unica River is one of the best grayling and brown trout rivers in Slovenia, if not in Europe. This time I fished with my father and we started in the dry fly only sector. We caught some very solid fish, unfortunately the largest escaped before we've been able to land it. Later in the day we moved above the confluence, where you can also use nymphs. Here my target fish become brown trout and I had some success ... As you will see I managed to outsmart quite a few red dotted beauties. Unica river (managed by Fisheries Research Institute of Slovenia)
